This week I have been working on some new designs to add to my handmade origami cards collection. The feedback and requests I have received has been great and I will be adding more occasion-based cards as well as more blank ones. I have started to experiment with using new origami that I haven't previously used in my designs (look out for the squirrel and swans!)
I also managed to incorporate a hot air balloon (I really like hot air balloons for some unknown reason) into a card so I am pretty happy I get to make those now!
I have been asked for more wedding/engagement and baby cards so I will aim to get more designs out to you real soon!
Here's some of the new cards I have released today. They are all available at my online stores :)
This week I have had the privilege of doing an interview for a new blog called Jane's Apple by the lovely Sian. The blog is full of great ideas and tips for handmade designers looking for advice on online selling and blogging. There will also be showcases and interviews from talented artists, crafters and designers so keep an eye out!
This blog is definitely worth a look if you are an artisan selling online or just curious about the whole business of selling your creations. You will also find some pretty cool cards and illustrations by Sian on her blog!
In my quest to find more online handmade markets/shops/galleries I was lucky enough to stumble across Craftori. It is a handmade haven filled with lots of gift ideas, DIY tutorials, craft supplies and pretty objects! There are gift guides for every occasion including co-workers, geeks and nostalgia. The best thing is that all the pictures link to an online store where your can purchase the item...no more hunting around for hours YAY!
A bonus is that if you are a designer or have your own label, it is free to register and list your items on the Craftori database as long as your items link back to an online store (like Etsy).
If you've got nothing planned for Sunday 9th June, come visit the Roleystone Winter Market! With over 70 stalls and various shows and activities it will make a great day out of the city!
I will be there selling my cards and stationery alongside Debbie from The Happy Mushroom.
I heard the churros van might be there too!
See yous there!
